Job Description
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our purchasing team, where they will be responsible for managing procurement, material requirements planning, product life cycle management, and obsolescence. The ideal candidate will have strong supplier relationship-building skills and a deep understanding of warehouse space utilization.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage product categories to ensure continuous supply and optimum inventory levels.
* Review minimum stock holdings against average sales analysis and implement adjustments as needed.
* Develop and execute strategies to reduce excess inventory levels and optimize warehouse space utilization.
* Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate cost-effective solutions.
* Participate in cost reduction activities and manage vendor performance to ensure alignment with in-house quality systems.
Skills & Experience
* 1-2 years of experience in planning or procurement.
* Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Finance (preferred).
* Strong organizational and administration skills.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and SAP or other ERP systems (desired).
* Flexible and proactive attitude with a desire for excellence.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced distribution environment.
