Main Purpose/Objective of Position:
Responsible for operational and technical support of electronic systems used for analytical testing, recording, and reporting results. These systems include laboratory information management system Darwin LIMS, Water’s Empower chromatography system, and Biovia’s SmartLab system.
Educational Requirements:
Possess a Diploma in Laboratory Science (such as Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biochemistry), its equivalent, or relevant experience. Experience or a strong aptitude in Laboratory E-systems is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as system administrator for laboratory E-systems (e.g., Empower, SmartLab, LIMS).
* Troubleshoot issues related to E-systems performance and serve as the contact for technical issues.
* Update system data as per change control and action item requests.
* Coordinate with IT on system upgrades and validation of electronic systems.
* Communicate with global system representatives and consolidate system information for reporting and presentations.
* Involve in qualification and routine maintenance of high-level analytical electronic instruments.
* Participate in deviation investigations and record errors as per procedures.
* Follow Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures and assist in incident investigations.
* Assist in training personnel as skills develop.
* Maintain high integrity in quality control functions within pharmaceutical production.
* Establish good relationships with colleagues within and outside the laboratory.
* Learn and execute new techniques and instrumentation related to electronic systems after training.
* Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects such as Six Sigma.
