We would like to invite applications for the following 24 hour, specified purpose contract role;
Educational Technologist: Learning & Development Systems

Overall Purpose of Job
The purpose of the role is to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment through the development of online and blended learning modules using digital tools, Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs), underpinned by blended learning guidelines and inclusive digital practices to ensure the effective design, integration and implementation of technology-enhanced digital learning systems that meet the regulatory, compliance, and training needs of the organisation.
Liaison
For the successful implementation of this role there are a number of key relationships which should be fostered and developed.
Primarily these will be with Trainers, ICT Officers, Programme Coordinators, Project Officers as well as a variety of external stakeholders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of documentation, procedures, policy, and strategy as it relates to learning technologies and digital education.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the learning technology support function, proposing and implementing solutions to enhance service delivery.
Embed technology-enhanced learning solutions that improve teaching, learning and assessment experience for learners.
Collaborate with trainers and other internal and external stakeholders to integrate digital tools and platforms into curriculum delivery.
Develop and deliver training content for staff on e-learning systems, digital literacy and online safety.
Support the creation of accessible, inclusive and engaging digital learning resources in collaboration with subject matter experts.
Manage and maintain Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technology platforms.
Provide technical and digital support for blended and online learning programmes.
Research emerging educational technologies and recommend innovative solutions for adult learning contexts.
Ensure compliance with data protection, accessibility and copyright regulations.
Provide monthly and other reports as necessary.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Training, Experience and Qualifications
Level 7 Degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design or related field with a minimum of 2 years' experience in an education & training environment.
Level 5+ Educational Technology, Instructional Design or related field with a minimum of 4 years experience in an education & training environment.
Expert knowledge of relevant ICT systems such as Learning Management Systems and CRM (e.g., Moodle, SAP SuccessFactors).
Excellent knowledge of Learning Design Tools such as Articulate 360 and Canva.
Ability to adapt technology to meet diverse learner needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge and Skills
Understanding learning principles to design, develop and evaluate effective learning experiences using models like ADDIE.
Deep knowledge of software, hardware and emerging digital tools.
Experience with multimedia content creation (video, audio, interactive modules).
Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles.
Ensuring safety, privacy and ethical use of technology in Learning & Development.
Knowledge of assessment tools and analytics for learner progress tracking.
A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is essential.
Ability to communicate complex concepts and processes in plain English.

Remuneration & Benefits
Salary ranges from €29,923 to €36,208 DOE.
