As part of our growth ambitions we are recruiting a Communications & Engagement Senior Consultant to join our team.
The Opportunity
The Communications & Engagement Senior Consultant will play a central role in shaping and communicating our clients’ strategic change ambitions. You will be a key member of the wider collaborative team which provides strategic, communications, and advisory services for the built environment.
As a Communications & Engagement Consultant at Arup, you will:
Lead on stakeholder engagement and strategic communications in areas across the built environment including cities and planning, transport and infrastructure, water and energy
Plan, deliver, and facilitate workshops and events, both physical and virtual, including developing tailored content
Design and support consultations, managing stakeholder feedback and analysing consultation responses
Create content and oversee the creation of collateral (publications, press releases, social media, website copy, and more)
Prepare presentations and reports
Effectively interact with colleagues and clients of varying backgrounds to effectively deliver on clients' needs
Work collaboratively and support colleagues across the project team
Does this role inspire you?
We're looking for someone passionate. These are the essential skills and qualifications for the position:
5+ years prior experience working, ideally in a client-facing role.
Third level qualification in relevant area e.g., Communications, Change Management, Public Relations, Policy, Strategy, Sustainability, Project Management or Urban Development
Proven success designing and executing engagement strategies that deliver change.
Superior written and verbal communications skills.
Good interpersonal and networking skills, highly articulate team player.
Capable of working well as part of a team as well as independently, across multiple projects.
Demonstrate a proactive attitude, take initiative, and eager to engage in all aspects of work.
A sustainability mindset.
We also Value:
Experience designing and facilitating workshops.
Project management and consulting experience and/or accreditation.
Interest in infrastructure, transport, urban and regional development.
Chartership or professional accreditation from a relevant professional institute (e.g. Chartered Management Institute, Public Relations Institute of Ireland etc) or ambition to earn one.
