Due to continued growth, Kent Stainless, Wexford currently has a part-time, permanent position available for a Purchasing Administrator. Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager / Purchasing Officer, the successful candidate will join the supply chain team to provide administrative support to the purchasing function, ensuring the accurate processing of purchase orders, maintenance of supplier records, and effective coordination with internal teams and external suppliers.What we will offer you:Full-time, permanent positions26 days annual leaveAttractive salary based on experienceCompany PensionCycle to Work SchemeWork clothes, safety boots and PPEDiscount on health insuranceDiscount on gym membershipFree on-site parkingDeath in BenefitFree on-site access to the annual flu vaccinationSocial clubWhat you will do:Purchasing AdministrationRaise and process purchase orders in line with company proceduresSupplier & Data ManagementMaintain accurate supplier records and pricing informationLiaise with suppliers regarding orders, invoices, and queriesSupport supplier onboarding and documentation where requiredCommunication & SupportAct as a point of contact for internal purchasing queriesSupport the Purchasing Officer with reports and admin tasksWork closely with stores, production, and finance teamsEnsure pricing, quantities, and delivery details are accurateMonitor order acknowledgements and delivery schedulesChase suppliers for confirmations, deliveries, and outstanding ordersQualifications / Competencies you should have;Skills & CompetenciesStrong administrative and organisational skillsQualifications / Experience / Competencies you should haveEssential:Previous experience in an administrative roleBasic understanding of purchasing or supply chain processesDesirable:Experience in a purchasing/procurement environmentFamiliarity with ERP or accounting systemsPersonal AttributesReliable and dependableProactive and methodicalAble to work independently and as part of a teamFlexible and willing to adapt to business needsHigh attention to detail and accuracyGood communication skills (written and verbal)Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectivelyKent Stainless was founded in 1982 and has since become a world leading manufacturer and global exporter of stainless steel as well as manufacturing engineered products customised to suit projects designed by architects and consulting engineers.
