Job Description
Automation Engineers play a pivotal role in the administration and maintenance of various manufacturing equipment specific applications and systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations within a cGMP environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide end-user support for small manufacturing equipment applications, including troubleshooting issues and communicating items to management, business process owners, and users.
2. Work on equipment ranging from standalone devices such as UV spectrometers, pH meters, particle samplers to networked devices such as wave rockers, chromatography skids, and cell analysers.
3. Oversee and execute automation preventative maintenance activities.
4. Generate documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and configuration specification documents.
5. Perform daily business administrative tasks related to functional support and general user account administration.
6. Provide SME support and work closely with functional departments on projects to develop, implement, and enhance systems.
7. Implement software/hardware changes and upgrades, understanding the impact of actions on manufacturing and facilities.
8. Assist prior to, during, and post-regulatory/partner inspections.
9. Support automation change control requests.
10. Participate in or lead small manufacturing equipment projects to introduce new equipment or upgrade existing applications.
11. Collaborate with validation and quality departments to ensure automation applications associated with small manufacturing equipment are implemented following the development life cycle approach.
12. Participate in or lead small manufacturing equipment applications, security access, and periodic audit trail reviews.
