We have an opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in Dublin, where you will be responsible for delivering cutting-edge AI/ML data products for industrial customers. In this role, you will design and implement scalable data pipelines, enabling next-generation AI solutions such as Large Language Models (LLMs), autonomous agents, and real-time inference systems. You will focus on IoT and real-time data processing, working at the intersection of industrial telemetry data and modern AI technologies to develop innovative solutions.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home, with potential travel to India and the US.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement scalable data architectures and robust data pipelines for high-volume IoT sensor data, supporting AI/ML workloads, including data preparation and feature engineering.
* Develop and optimize RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) systems and data integration solutions for AI model training and inference.
* Implement DataOps practices for continuous integration and delivery of data pipelines, including automated testing for data quality and AI model performance monitoring.
* Create self-service data assets and automated documentation to improve data accessibility, lineage, and AI model provenance.
* Collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists to optimize data workflows for model training and deployment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
* Experience with CDC, ELT/ETL workflows, streaming replication, data quality frameworks, PySpark/Scala, and cloud platforms (Azure/GCP/Databricks).
* Strong understanding of data modeling for analytical and AI workloads, RAG architectures, LLM applications, and building data pipelines for MLOps.
* Experience with real-time data processing frameworks like Apache Spark Streaming, time-series databases, IoT data modeling, data quality, and graph databases.
* Knowledge of containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), data security, governance, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
