We are currently recruiting for a driven and passionate Sales Manager.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To work closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing, along with the Property Sales team in order to maximise the hotel's potential profits by assisting in the organisation of event business and boosting property Sales across all segments. To co-ordinate with other departments regarding such group business and related client requirements.

KEY OBJECTIVES:

* To deliver a high quality service to MICE and other group business
* To organise events with the client and to carry out all associated administration in a timely and effective manner.
* To professionally represent Mount Juliet Estate at all times

FOCUS AREAS:

Manage a pre-determined number of key accounts / key prospects and other active accounts to ensure maximum yield in line with hotel budgetary objectives

Work closely with the Marriott Teams and preferred accounts internationally to drive MICE business to Mount Juliet Estate

Maintain valid call objectives and relevant action plans for each key account/key prospect and ensure all follow up is executed in a timely manner

Compile and execute monthly sales action plans with budgets as agreed with DOSM

Personally make your own appointments and carry our telephone research on a weekly basis

Work closely with the local DMCs, maintaining relationships and driving business into Mount Juliet Estate

Proactively identify opportunities, arrange and manage familiarisation trips in line with business needs

Create and pursue innovative ideas for revenue generation ensuring that all opportunities are researched fully and presented to the DOSM where appropriate

To conduct sales trips as requested to the UK, EU as well as International

Attend Failte Ireland / Tourism Ireland Events in the MICE market

To be responsible for sales of MICE and residential groups, including all Events spaces

To be responsible for the entire sales process of meetings, conferences, banquets & groups within the hotel by efficient handling of enquiries and proposals for MICE and residential group business

Ensuring that all enquiries are answered within 8 hours if received before 12 noon and 24 hours or less if received after 12 noon

Ensuring all offers are followed up personally within 24 - 72 hours after initial proposal is sent

Ensuring final details for meetings and events are accurate and communicated effectively to all departments. (Attention to detail is imperative).

Issue Contracts for confirmed group bookings and ensure deposit schedule is executed. All contracts to be issued within 24 hours after Client confirmation is received.

Ensure accuracy and integrity with diary management function in Opera in order to maximise meeting space effectively and revenue.

Preparing, updating and filing all correspondence relating to conference sales and conference confirmations.

Assist in preparing conference bills correctly. Ensure correct billing procedures are followed and communicated directly with the Finance office

Ensure accuracy of diary management by maintaining an efficient option date system and follow up of daily activities

Provide input to assist in the compilation of weekly Group conversation report and monitor closely reasons for group cancellations

Being actively involved in the hotel's MICE sales projects, including entertaining clients, site inspections and external sales calls as required

To ensure that up-to-date and efficient files on all enquiries held on the books and an effective option date system are maintained

To keep detailed information on all the reasons for lost business whether regretted, tentative or definite and the action taken

To lead or attend weekly Group Sales / Rooms meeting to discuss the status of all group business

Ensure all leads are logged

To actively participate in ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the Sales Office.
