Cleantech Civils is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager and Site Engineer for a project in Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon for the construction of a new control building. This role is key to ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of construction works while maintaining strong communication with internal teams and clients.
Project Manager: Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Take full ownership of project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and within budget
Lead and coordinate site teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
Monitor progress against programme and drive performance improvements where required
Health & Safety
Ensure full compliance with all health & safety regulations and company procedures
Oversee implementation of RAMS, permits to work, and site safety systems
Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities
Quality Assurance
Implement and monitor quality control procedures across all stages of construction
Ensure all inspections, testing, and documentation are completed and maintained
Oversee the production of as-built records and handover documentation
Commercial & Procurement
Manage procurement processes, including material approvals and resource planning
Work closely with commercial teams to monitor costs, variations, and financial performance
Issue Early Warnings and manage CVIs in line with contract requirements
Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders
Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates
Manage technical queries and design coordination effectively

The Site Engineer will establish the level and survey control for contracts and set out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring that checks are made on a regular basis. This role will support the successful execution of construction works by ensuring accurate setting out, strong health & safety compliance, quality assurance, and efficient site coordination.
The successful candidate will play a key role in day-to-day site operations while working closely with the Project Manager, site team, and client representatives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Manage material requisitions and GRNs; maintain site records and progress photos
Lead daily JSSP briefings and ensure compliance with permits (e.g., breaking ground, WAH), RAMS, and lift plans
Conduct site inductions and excavation inspections (AF3)
Weekly Duties
Maintain plant register and carry out equipment, ladder, and temporary works inspections
Issue permits to pump and deliver Tool Box Talks
Procurement
Prepare material submittals and raise plant/material requisitions via mWorker
Manage plant on-hire/off-hire
Quality & Setting Out
Perform setting out using Total Station and laser equipment
Coordinate testing (concrete cubes, plate bearing) and pre-pour checks
Monitor ducting and pipework quality, testing, and documentation
Maintain as-built drawings and waste records
Coordination
Support design coordination, technical queries, and client communication
Attend site and client meetings
Monitor progress using Microsoft Project and assist with commercial tracking
Requirements
Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering (or similar)
Site engineering experience with strong setting out skills
Knowledge of H&S regulations and site processes
Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Project
Strong communication and organisational skills
Valid safe pass
