This role focuses on improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Job ResponsibilitiesOEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) Packaging champion – initially utilizing manually collected dataSupport introduction of future OEE automated systemsLead OEE governance to monitor process and equipment performanceAnalyse OEE data trends, Pareto of top 3 issues & corrective actionsAnalyse workflows and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies. Apply lean principles (e.g., 7S, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to reduce waste and improve productivityMonitor OEE data daily/weekly to identify trends, waste and improvement opportunitiesGenerate reports and dashboards for stakeholders (e.g., operations, engineering, leadership)Continuous Improvements:Work with production & maintenance teams driving the culture of Continuous Improvements within PackagingManage weekly CI forum within packagingSupport Kaizen eventsLead or participate in continuous improvement initiativesManage / lead or support projects related to process & equipment optimizationBe a change championMonitor change over performanceCollaborate with operations teams to optimize the change over process. Identify & remove wasteTrain operators on the optimized change over process / standard of workDevelop and improve manufacturing processes for efficiency & cost-effectiveness (reduce waste / rejected material / optimize yield)Train operators, engineers, and supervisors on how to use the OEE system and interpret dataCreate and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Provide ongoing support and coaching to ensure adoption and effective use of OEE dataEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standardsKnowledge & SkillsStrong understanding of GMPs and safety regulations.Proficient in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.Experience applying Operational Excellence tools (e.g., DMAIC, Lean, Six Sigma).Working knowledge of packaging systems, processes, and procedures.Ability to manage complex processes with minimal supervision.Skilled in presenting technical information to cross-functional stakeholders.Demonstrates initiative in training and process improvement.Familiarity with established policies
