Accommodation Manager Requirements: A qualification/certificate in Facilities, Hospitality, Business, or Hotel Management is desirable.
Proven experience as an Accommodation Manager in a healthcare or hotel setting is essential.
Strong understanding of core Health and Safety legislation and Infection Control National Standards is required.
Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams within a business or healthcare environment.
Awareness of hospitality accommodation service standards and commitment to continuous improvement is desirable.
Accommodation Manager Key Responsibilities: Support the Director of Nursing in maintaining effective systems for audits, KPIs, risk management, and reporting to ensure high standards across accommodation services.
Oversee and coordinate housekeeping and laundry teams, ensuring efficient workflows, stock control, and consistent compliance with organisational policies.
Provide daily visibility and leadership throughout the centre, ensuring every resident area meets cleanliness, presentation, and quality standards.
Monitor departmental budgets, manage suppliers, and implement cost-effective processes while maintaining service excellence.
Lead recruitment, induction, training, and rostering of housekeeping and laundry staff, fostering a motivated, resident-centred team culture.
