NWC focusses on providing asset-based financing solutions for its global client base across the US, Europe, and Australia. Nearwater Capital is expanding its business and is seeking an organized and experienced Operations Resource, for its businesses located in the heart of Dublin City, based in One Georges Quay Plaza, 10th floor.Role / Job Description:In this Operations Associate role, you will be an integral part of a team dedicated to Nearwater Capital's businesses. You will serve as the primary point of contact for all operational queries from Nearwater's European client base. This role involves close interaction with clients and internal collaboration across the Origination, Middle Office, Finance, Technology and Operations teams. You will be responsible for completion of the end-to-end trade settlement lifecycle, with a particular focus on Total Return Swaps (TRS) Repurchase Transactions (REPO) and LSTA/LMA Loans.This role requires an initiative-taking entrepreneurial approach to executing daily, identifying opportunities to reduce risk through continuous evaluation of our process and controls, while coordinating with our third-party custodian bank, counterparties, and trading teams.Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:Oversee end‑to‑end operational processes for Total Return Swaps (TRS), Repurchase Transactions (REPO), and LSTA/LMA LoansAct as point of contact for client operational queries, ensuring timely, accurate resolutionExecute and validate all trade instructions, amendments, and confirmations with a strong focus on accuracyProvide ongoing operational support to Origination and Trading teams, contributing to seamless deal execution and lifecycle managementInvestigate and resolve reconciliation items ensuring completeness and accuracy of books and recordsEscalate settlement fails, outstanding margin calls, and any disputes in a timely and transparent mannerServe as the operational liaison for all stakeholders throughout the full lifecycle of each transactionConsult directly with our Custodian and Prime Broker on all related matters.Assist with project initiatives designed to improve and streamline our existing processes.Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in relation to the derivative transactions.Maintain a strong control mindset, continuously monitoring processes and escalating potential issuesProvide operational coverage and partnership to colleagues in New YorkSkills and Experience:5+ years of experience in operations, middle‑office, or trade support role, ideally within derivatives, bond settlement, securities finance, and loan productsStrong understanding of TRS, REPO, and/or LSTA/LMA loan products, or a demonstrated ability to learn complex financial instruments quicklyDemonstrated operational expertise and experience in pre and post settlement processing, trade support, and payments processingExperience with reconciliation processes, trade lifecycle management, and exposure/margin workflows is advantageousExperience with Cash and Equity Swaps, Loans Administration, EMIR and MiFID reporting highly desirable.Strong knowledge of financial markets, trade lifecycle, industry technology such as (AcadiaSoft, ClearPar, GLAS & Bloomberg)Initiative-taking, proactive individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to thrive in structured, high-volume, high-risk, time-sensitive, and demanding environment.Excellent verbal and written communication, with confidence in hosting and leading conference calls.Strong technical aptitude, including high proficiency with advanced Excel and the ability to work with new systems and toolsCapable of collaborating effectively within a team environment and excelling when working independentlyAdditional Benefits:You will be joining a firm in the early stage of its evolution in Dublin.Meaningful impact on which your work directly contributes to the company's growth and customer successInclusive workplace that values diversity and ensures everyone has a voiceClear career progression with opportunities to develop and growCollaborative, supportive culture where new ideas are encouraged and contributions are recognized.Exposure to complex, high‑impact work, giving you hands‑on experience across the wider Dublin teams (Risk, Finance, and Trading) that you simply don't get in larger organisations.A fast‑moving, intellectually challenging environment where continuous learning is part of everyday life.A collaborative culture where we work hard, support each other, and enjoy what we doA competitive compensation and benefits package designed to reward your contribution and growth
