Architectural & Metal Systems Ltd. (AMS) is Ireland's only independently owned manufacturer of extruded aluminium profiles. We specialise in aluminium extrusion, powder-coated aluminium, and sheet metal fabrication, offering a wide range of thermally efficient aluminium windows, doors, and other commercial systems globally. Our 400,000 sq. ft. facility serves industries worldwide, with divisions spanning standard engineering products, architectural glazing systems, curtain walling, architectural paint finishes, anodising, and bespoke aluminium design & extrusions.
About the role:
The Control Room Operator will ensure safe and efficient operation of the anodising plant, optimising plant performance and maintaining all control systems to meet daily production targets. This role involves monitoring and controlling process parameters from the control room and providing hands-on support on the production floor. The operator will also play a key role in efficient and optimal loading of product.
Schedule Availability
8-hour shifts
Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:30 Friday 08:00- 15:30
Overtime available
This is a trainee role – full training will be provided. The successful candidate will gain valuable technical skills in plant control systems, anodising process control, chemical handling, and safety procedures.
Key Requirements
* Machine operator experience
* Ability to recognize and address basic mechanical and technical issues.
* Self-motivated & highly driven.
* Ability to work on one's own initiative and within a team.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
* High level of safety awareness (Moving cranes/proximity to chemicals).
* Must have excellent level of English (spoken & written) and very good communication skills.
* Previous experience in an industrial setting is desirable
* A strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
* Good attention to detail and quality control
* Must be eligible to work in Ireland
* Ability to commute to Little Island
Preferred
* Experience with computer-controlled systems in a process-driven industry.
* Hands-on mechanical experience
* Chemical handling experience.
* Continuous Improvement / Lean / Greenbelt training.
