Its role is to ensure the implementation of relevant national and international legislation.The Department of Transport is seeking qualified Naval Architects to work in the MSO.Reporting to the Chief Surveyor, Deputy Chief Surveyors, and/or Surveyors-in-Charge, Naval Architects form part of a team responsible for enhancing safety of life at sea, maritime security, improving living and working conditions at sea, and preventing marine pollution.Naval Architects are responsible for inspecting and approving drawings and design calculations related to subdivision, stability under various conditions, structural fire protection, structural design and strength, safety equipment, and more.
