Job Specification: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Dundalk, Ireland (On-site, Monday to Friday)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier invoices, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the smooth operation of all accounts payable activities. This position is suited to someone with a strong background in finance administration and a proven track record in accounts payable functions.
Key Responsibilities
· Process and code supplier invoices accurately and promptly.
· Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery dockets.
· Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs.
· Manage the accounts payable inbox and respond to supplier queries efficiently.
· Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Maintain up-to-date records and ensure data integrity within the accounting system.
· Assist with month-end close processes and reporting.
· Ensure compliance with Irish VAT and company financial policies.
· Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
· Accounting, bookkeeping, or finance qualification (e.g., IATI, Accounting Technician, or similar) preferred.
Experience:
· Minimum 3 years' experience in a dedicated Accounts Payable role.
· Strong working knowledge of Irish VAT regulations, invoice processing, and supplier payments.
· Experience using accounting systems such as Sage, SAP, Xero, or QuickBooks.
Skills & Competencies:
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
· Strong organisational and time management skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday (on-site in Dundalk)
37.5 hours per week
