Job Role:
We are seeking a Trade Counter Assistant/Sales Advisor to provide exceptional customer service in the Tullamore area. This is a customer-facing position that requires delivering an outstanding level of service at our Trade Counter and over the phone, while maximising sales opportunities.
This role includes:
* Providing excellent customer service at our busy Trade Counter, upholding high standards
* Assisting customers/potential customers with product selection, detailing benefits/technical features of products
* Ensuring efficient processing and follow-up of customer quotations
* Cash handling and operation of our stock system
* Supporting the Shop Manager with merchandising and maintaining shop standards of health and safety, cleanliness
* Maintaining effective communications with suppliers regarding product sourcing and delivery
* Providing support to our External Sales Team
Requirements:
* Previous experience of providing face-to-face customer service within a retail environment (essential)
* Previous experience of working on a Trade Counter (desirable)
* Good knowledge of hardware, DIY, and plumbing materials
* Strong teamwork and organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Proficient in IT and computer literacy
* Reliable and punctual
