Role Overview
You will join the Skye House CAMHS team as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based inpatient care for young people aged 12–17 experiencing acute mental health difficulties. The role involves providing clinical leadership, trauma‑informed decision‑making, and working within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
Full‑time, fixed‑term 12‑month contract
Base location: Stobhill Hospital, Skye House
Shift pattern: to be confirmed
Responsibilities
Deliver evidence‑based care to children and young people with a range of mental health and neurodiverse needs.
Provide clinical leadership and support the nursing team to meet professional and family‑centred care standards.
Monitor care delivery to ensure safe, high‑quality interventions.
Coordinate workforce resources to maintain effective service provision.
Make trauma‑informed decisions that support young people and their families.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic assessment and treatment.
Qualifications and Experience
Strong clinical expertise in child and adolescent mental health.
Skills in trauma‑informed care and decision‑making.
Experience in workforce coordination and monitoring care standards.
Understanding of neurodiverse presentations and acute mental health difficulties.
Commitment to professional development and reflective practice.
