About Your New Job
As the
Head of Engineering, you will lead the entire engineering function on-site in Cork
, shaping plant strategy while delivering
multi-million € CAPEX investment projects
that directly impact production capacity, modernization, and operational resilience.
You will:
* Lead the full lifecycle delivery of CAPEX projects (feasibility, design, budgeting, supplier & contractor selection, execution, commissioning and stakeholder updates)
* Manage and optimize plant maintenance & reliability strategy using key metrics (OEE, MTTR, MTBF, downtime and breakdown reduction)
* Build, coach and mentor high-performing maintenance, automation, reliability, and project engineering teams
* Drive a
CI & Lean mindset (Kaizen, operational excellence, efficiency, automation and cost reduction initiatives)
* Own both
capital and operational engineering budgets
, ensuring structured financial tracking, compliance and a safety-first engineering culture
What Skills You Need
To succeed in this role, you must have:
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering
(Mechanical, Electrical, Automation or related discipline)
* Proven experience managing CAPEX portfolios in manufacturing.
* Strong people leadership experience leading diverse engineering teams on-site.
* Demonstrated
Continuous Improvement delivery.
* Expertise in
stakeholder and contractor management, procurement collaboration and project financial controls
