General Maintenance Operative: Oberstown, Lusk (Own transport essential due to lack of public transport)Aramark is currently recruiting a reliable and hands-on General Maintenance Operative to join our team. This role is key to supporting day-to-day maintenance operations at our client site, ensuring the building and grounds remain safe, functional, and in excellent condition. The ideal candidate would have working skills to allow them to be proactive, safety-conscious, and ready to tackle a wide range of tasks in a dynamic environment.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct routine inspections and perform necessary repairs to maintain the facility in good working orderFollow scheduled maintenance checklists (daily/weekly/monthly) for building systems and equipmentTroubleshoot and repair fixtures, fittings, doors, windows, and minor appliancesRespond promptly to maintenance requests and emergenciesSupport the safe use of tools, equipment, and materials in accordance with Aramark safety policiesUndertake other duties as assigned by the managerAbout YouPrevious experience in a maintenance and/or facilities role is preferredA strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to work safely in physically demanding conditionsStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailComfortable with manual handling tasks (carrying, lifting, pulling or pushing)Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsA team player with the ability to work independently when neededCommitted to maintaining high Health & Safety standardsHold a full, clean driving licenceBasic IT skills to operate maintenance systemGarda vetting will be required for this positionWorking Hours & ScheduleStandard hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PMOne week per month: Shift pattern of 12:00 PM – 8:00 PMOne Saturday per month: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PMOne Sunday per month: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (paid at a premium Sunday rate)Perks & BenefitsSubsidised canteen for meals and snacksPaid overtime availableFree on-site parkingRegular company events and team socialsParticipation in the Bike to Work scheme
