Job Overview:
The Commercial Director will lead the commercial delivery of multiple infrastructure projects in the Midlands. This role demands strong commercial leadership, strategic collaboration, and analytical insight, offering a defined progression path towards a senior management position.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement commercial strategies for assigned projects.
* Conduct feasibility studies to assess viability and inform decision-making.
* Manage cost control processes, including cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and forecasting across all project phases.
* Oversee the preparation and agreement of valuations, variations, and final accounts.
* Provide regular cost/value reports, updating stakeholders on risk, opportunities, and overall commercial performance.
* Mentor and supervise junior commercial staff, supporting their professional growth.
* Collaborate effectively with pre-construction, design, and delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Evaluate tenders and negotiate contracts.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience in a commercial director role within infrastructure projects.
* Comprehensive knowledge of contract administration.
* Proven record of providing commercial leadership on contracts valued at over €5M.
* Able to lead teams and positively influence commercial outcomes among diverse stakeholders.
* Proficient in cost reporting, valuations, claims preparation, and contract negotiations.
