Job Description:Ocuco is seeking an experienced QA Engineer to join our Lab Development team in the Dublin HQ, to work on our Innovations product line. The successful candidate will ensure that Quality Assurance processes are understood, implemented, and continuously improved.Working in an Agile scrum team, you will collaborate closely with developers to deliver quality, releasable software each sprint. Reporting to the QA Lead, this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, excellent organisation, and thorough documentation abilities. Our focus is on quality, so we are looking for someone meticulous and committed to high standards.Responsibilities:Work within a scrum team to ensure a successful delivery, based on the definition of doneEnsure each release candidate of all products follows a complete test cycle and verify that it meets Ocuco's high standard of qualityRecord all actions and communications in Jira regarding any issue or query resulting from testingDevelop Test Cases from business requirements, document and execute them.Expand the Functional/ Regression test cases as new features are added to Ocuco's productsContinuously develop and refine own product usage, industry, training and technical writing expertiseContribute to developing appropriate test strategies and detailed test plansPackage software releases for distribution and perform smoke tests.Help to identify and implement improvements that enhance the Test Process and improve overall QA practicesThe successful candidate must have:An IT-related qualificationA minimum of 4 years of software testing/Quality Assurance experienceStrong and proven experience in creating test cases and executingProven experience in API/BE TestingExperience and full understanding of the Software Development Life CycleProven ability to learn, introduce and improve new and existing test practices and processesExperience with Agile and Scrum methodologies in software developmentProven documentation skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishHigh level of analytical thinking and orientation to detailStrong focus on customer experience and product qualityThe ideal candidate will also have:Previous experience in the optical industryExperience in Automated testing
