Our client, a food manufacturer, (not meat,fish or dairy) based a commutable distance from: Killarney or Macroom, is looking for an operations - production manager. You will be joining an establish Irish owned brand and report in to the General manager and be part of the site leadership team. This is a days only, flexi hours job, Monday - Friday job. Your duties will include: Management of all site operations including all 3 production lines (55 staff) Responsible for planning, scheduling and order completion Implementation of standard operating procedure to drive efficiencies and operational excellence. Actively manage operational efficiency to increase outputs, minimise waste and reduce downtime. Work to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness for food safety, whilst ensuring health and safety compliance at all times. Ability to manage all resources provided effectively and to identify and develop team members skills through coaching, delegation, performance reviews and cross training Requirements Proven track record in management (5 years in and Irish factory)in the food industry 3rd level food science or related qualification with HACCP and BRC knowledge essential. Financial/cost awareness Strong interpersonal skills to develop and lead team members with strong attention to detail.
