Technical Services Officer - Chief Assistant (CATSO)
Permanent Contract
Job Purpose
The role involves supporting the Director of Estates in managing the Estates Directorate's functions, including Technical Services, Property and Asset Management, Project Management, Climate Action, Housing, Fire Safety, and Transport. The CATSO will oversee and deliver high-quality services across the organization.
Essential Qualifications
* NFQ Level 8 qualification in property management, engineering, energy, housing, or transport
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Full clean Driving Licence and own vehicle for work-related travel
* Training in facilities management software
Desirable Qualifications
* Postgraduate qualification in a relevant management or business discipline (NFQ Level 9)
* Qualification in transport maintenance, certification, or management
* Training related to Climate Action Plan and Roadmap for Public Sector Organisations
* Experience in estate/property management, reporting, budget management, and funding applications
* Experience in energy reporting systems and implementing climate initiatives
* Knowledge of standards for Approved Housing Bodies and compliance requirements
* Experience managing transport services, policies, and fleet management
* Experience in change management and team leadership
* Experience working in large organizations with cross-departmental collaboration
* Experience in transport department review, change management, and planning
* Experience in the disability sector and understanding of HSE processes
Salary Scale
€78,303 to €97,732 (HSE Pay Scale March 2025). Placement depends on prior public sector experience.
Location
89 Lagan Road or Ballymun HQ, as needed.
Hours of Work
35 hours per week, with flexible start and finish times based on service needs.
