The role
Fire Protection Estimator – Blanchardstown, Ballycoolin Business Park, Dublin
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Review incoming tender enquiries and prepare cost estimates based on required design standards and specification requirements for all sustainability, small works and maintenance projects.
Prepare cost submissions for all forms of fire protection systems, including sprinkler protection, gas suppression, water mist, hose‑reels, fire hydrant and dry riser systems.
Advise managers of bid prospects.
Attend pre‑ and post tender interviews.
Comply with specialist sub‑contract quotes.
Ensure sub‑contractor quotes comply with specification.
Complete take‑offs from tender drawings and site job cards.
Report regularly to management on competitor activity, market trends and other market dynamics useful to management.
Liaise with the Fire Protection Commercial / Sustainability Team.
Prepare cost submissions for contract variations, including all backup data to ensure a smooth transition at final account stage.
Liaise with site teams to ensure scope of works is fully captured and understood.
Assist on project cost estimating and value engineering, as appropriate.

Essential Criteria for the Role:
Minimum 5 years of experience in estimation.
Previous experience in construction operations.
Professional qualification in Fire Protection, Sprinkler Design and Hydraulic Calculations.
Professional certification (e.g., LPC, VdS Certification, NFPA Training).
Travel will be required for this position.
