The Business Analyst role supports the development, implementation and delivery of ESB Networks Generation Connection processes.
The primary focus of the role is to process and track generator connection applications for customers.
Ongoing interaction with customers and key stakeholders including management and resolution of customer/stakeholder issues is also required daily.
As a key member of the team bringing forward suggestions and supporting the development of IT systems, and development of the long-term enduring processes are also key responsibilities of this role.
An interest and awareness of developments in renewable generation and how it is relevant to ESB Networks will be important to engage with customers and support the business into the future.
Key Responsibilities
Process and track generator applications submitted to ESB Networks.
Work with and support the team dealing with processing and completion of generator connections under these key processes.
Support the delivery and embedding of the relevant enduring business processes to ensure generator applications are effectively managed by ESB Networks and our required deliverables under Ireland's Climate Action Plan.
Interact with and manage customers and key stakeholders daily.
Manage the customer stage payments process as projects progress through the delivery phase.
Proactively deal with all relevant generator queries within and outside own business area.
Work with the team to ensure the relevant pages on the ESB Networks website are accurate and consistent.
Implement generator connection policy and regulations as they apply to ESB Networks.
Develop and build relationships with other parts of the business to achieve a best practice end-to-end Generator Connection process.
Experience and Qualifications
A 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience is essential.
Experience dealing with customers and stakeholders.
Strong proven communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills.
Awareness of key technical elements of the electricity system and sufficient awareness of renewable generator technologies to be able to liaise with customer and technical support teams and resolve issues is important.
Ability to work independently to solve issues and develop processes.Proven ability to work with a team and provide guidance and support to team members and the wider business.
Experience dealing with generator installation companies, industry body representatives or public bodies would be beneficial.
Proven ability to work with key relevant IT systems such as SAP, SharePoint, DocuSign would be beneficial.
Knowledge of commercial connection offer, charging policies and processes would be beneficial.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within the jurisdiction where they have been employed, with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration at least two days per week.
