Due to continued growth, the business is hiring for a Senior Accountant who will work closely with the C-Suite and embark on a significant career progression path. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing key parts of the financial operations of the company, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This role will play a key part in supporting decision-making and driving financial performance. Key Responsibilities Deliver monthly financial statements within two weeks of closing, including comprehensive balance sheet reviews, variance explanations, and updated forecasts. Lead the budgeting cycle by preparing budgets, monitoring spending, and providing management with actionable financial insights. Establish, update, and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain compliance with regulatory and organisational standards. Oversee the annual external audit process for the primary operating company as well as its subsidiaries. Redesign the existing product costing framework to improve accuracy and ensure seamless integration with current operational systems. Revamp the stock management system, enhance its reliability, and align it with existing business platforms. Support strategic initiatives through financial modelling, planning for acquisitions, and other ad hoc analysis or projects. Key Skills ACA or ACCA qualified, with a Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. Minimum of seven years experience in comparable finance or accounting roles. Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and relevant regulatory requirements. Skilled in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and costing. Previous experience with ERP system implementation would be advantageous. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with confidence in engaging stakeholders at all levels. Advanced proficiency in Excel (including VLOOKUP) is essential; experience with financial software such as SAGE or similar is desirable. Detail-focused, highly organised, and able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, with a proactive, hands-on approach. Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
