Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Highway Safety Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and serviceability of our network.
In this role, you will undertake regular patrols of the network, conducting detailed inspections of assets, safety inspections, and temporary traffic management. All inspections and actions will be recorded using our bespoke routine maintenance management system.
Main Responsibilities:
* Undertake safety and detailed inspections of highway assets
* Keep accurate records of inspections and actions taken
* Validate data collected during inspections
* Gather inventory information and support incident response crews
* Perform winter service and incident response supervision
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will require a civil/construction certificate/diploma/degree, industry-recognised safety training, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in civil engineering works or roads maintenance, working on projects governed by TII DMRB standards, high-speed traffic management, pressurised environments, inclement weather conditions, and compliance with motorway operational regulations are desirable.
