About the Role:
The Assistant Director of Finance will lead the finance team in driving the financial performance of the organization by working closely with the business to provide key financial information and insights. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting experience and leadership skills.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead the finance team in providing commercial finance leadership, support, and challenge across key stakeholders.
* Contribute to the development of strategic financials for the group, working closely with the Group Finance Director.
* Manage the financial performance of the group against targets by ensuring key financial risks and opportunities are identified and appropriate action plans are in place.
* Work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure financials are joined-up with and owned by the business.
* Manage budget and forecasting initiatives (including reporting) across the organization to set stretching and achievable targets.
* Provide cash flow forecasts over appropriate timeframes and manage cash flow to support business growth.
* Lead the timely and accurate production of financial management information, including KPIs, key findings, and insights.
* Support the external audit through provision of analysis as required.
Key Requirements:
* Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with a minimum of 3 years PQE and strong technical accounting experience.
* Experience in producing, analyzing, and presenting financial information to drive good financial performance.
* Proven track record of working with diverse stakeholders to deliver results.
* Strong ICT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
