About the Role
We have an opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team based in County Kildare. This role will involve:
* Developing, promoting and maintaining a strong, proactive health and safety culture within the working environment.
As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will integrate and implement health and safety strategies, programmes and plans in partnership with Group Health and Safety. You will also communicate and coordinate the adoption of industry best practices in health and safety.
You will assist the content expert in relation to specific safety programmes and help with internal and external audits. Additionally, you will monitor and report on health and safety performance and challenges using predefined safety performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the development and implementation of health and safety programmes and initiatives designed to continually improve performance.
* Coordinate the investigation of incidents, ensuring root cause analysis is completed and corrective actions are implemented.
* Influence employee work practices through dialogue, relationship building and behavioural safety coaching.
* Assist and coordinate the development and delivery of safety training, workshops and awareness briefings in consultation with relevant managers and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
* Relevant NGQ Level 7 qualification or higher.
* Ability to work in a team with minimum direction.
* Self-motivator who can work on one's own initiative.
* A thorough knowledge of EHS legislation in relation to manufacturing.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience and knowledge of EHS Management Systems and their practical application to industry.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with good influencing and negotiation skills.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence at management and operator levels.
* Proficient in the use of MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook.
