NMBI is currently recruiting for a Chief Executive Officer.
Reporting to the President of the NMBI, the new Chief Executive Officer will assume a role of paramount importance within NMBI, providing visionary leadership that is both strategic and operational in scope. The successful candidate will be expected to navigate and lead through a period of significant transformation—characterized by complex regulatory demands, evolving healthcare delivery models influenced by Slintecare reforms, and global challenges such as nursing and midwifery workforce shortages.
The role will focus on implementing organizational changes, including enhancing educational pathways, introducing a new Maintenance of Professional Competence scheme, managing legislative changes related to fitness to practise, and advancing NMBI's digital infrastructure with the next generation of the MyNMBI platform.
NMBI is undertaking a major digital capital project with a deadline in 2025. The CEO will serve as the project sponsor, providing leadership, governance, and oversight. Additionally, the CEO will lead the development and implementation of a new ICT and Digitisation Strategy for NMBI.
