Irish Girl Guides are looking for volunteers to take on leader roles in their groups. Tasks involved would include helping to organise weekly meetings, going on outings and getting involved in group activities with girls aged 5-7 Ladybirds, Brownies aged 7-10 or Guides aged 10-14.
All volunteers will be required to undertake Garda Vetting by Irish Girl Guides. Through training, volunteers can work towards their Warrant, which reflects well on a CV, and Leaders under 26 years of age can work towards the Gold Gaisce, President’s Award.
Irish Girl Guides Leader Role
Irish Girl Guides provides a non-formal educational programme which enables each person to embark on a developmental journey full of fun, adventure and challenge, allowing girls to develop to their fullest potential as responsible citizens of the world.
We are currently looking for volunteers interested in helping out the Ladybird unit on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:00pm on the Killeshin Road. Ladybirds are ages 5-7 year olds. Volunteers will be asked to help organise weekly meetings, facilitate fun and engaging activities for the girls, including arts & crafts, music, drama, and sporting activities, organise outings, and help the girls to explore their own individual interests and talents. Full leader training is provided.
