We are seeking an experienced Marketing professional to join a busy Dublin-based events team, where they will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of high-profile flagship corporate and member events.
The successful candidate will support the Event Manager by working across every phase of the event, from initial project planning, crafting of event propositions, executing marketing campaigns, speaker management and sponsorship acquisition. This role requires a proactive approach to developing event assets, branding, managing digital and print communications, and overseeing onsite delivery - including registration, staging, and speaker management - while applying a ‘Decide and Do’ mindset to troubleshoot challenges in real-time.
The successful candidate will be an ambitious and confident self-starter with the ability to work across multiple projects with proven track record in event management and marketing in a B2B environment. The closing date for applications is 26th January 2026.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Event Planning and Management
* Project planning and tracking:Assist the Event Manager in tracking a yearly project plan to ensuretimelyexecution and that financial targets and KPIs are met.Ensure key milestones are on track and clearly communicated to the wider team.
* Innovation: Brainstorm and implement concepts for improved event delivery and marketing.
* Performance Metrics: Measure performance and ROI to improve and power future campaigns.
* Internal Liaison: Liaise with internal colleagues (Marketing, Sales, Trade Associations, Policy, Employer Services) to shape events and provide status updates.
* Financial Tracking: Manage and track event expenditure and income.
* Competitor Analysis: Keep up to date with trends and competitor activity.
Process and Technology
* Tech Trends: Keep up to date with technology (event management software, engagement tools, and virtual platforms) to enhance efficiency and the delegate experience.
* AI Adoption: Learn to use AI tools to streamline workflows and help the team complete tasks more efficiently (introduction training provided).
* Skill Sharing: Ensure that technical skills are transferred across the team and wider organisation.
* Automation: Explore solutions for greater automation with other departments and third-party providers, particularly in registrations, payments, and reporting.
* Special Projects:Work independently on projects including data management and website development.
Event Marketing & Promotion
* Copywriting and Content Creation: Create messaging frameworks tailored to different audiences across multiple channels. Draft compelling session descriptions, speaker bios, and promotional collateral that aligns with the brand’s tone of voice.
* Campaign Strategy: Conduct research and develop innovative campaigns to reach the desired audience and optimise ticket sales.
* Email Marketing: Support the Event Manager to implement automated email campaigns using Click Dimensions and cvent, performing A/B testing and response analysing for future improvements.
* Social Media :Create engaging LinkedIn content to build pre-event "buzz" and maintain post-event engagement.
* Paid Digital: Manage external agencies for paid digital campaigns, including PPC and Google AdWords.
* Website Management: Launch event websites, ensuring SEO and UX are optimised and content is updated throughout the event lifecycle.
Sponsorship Acquisition and Management
* Sales Targets: Identify new sponsors and exhibitors to help reach commercial targets.
* Relationship Management: Build relationships with existing sponsors through regular meetings.
* Proposals: Support the development of event sponsorship proposals, value propositions, and pitches.
Speaker Management and Agenda Development
* Agenda development: Support regarding event flow and agenda design. Work with colleagues to ensure the content is relevant to the agenda and Ibec positioning.
* Technical briefings: Brief speaker on technical requirements, including AV set up, tech checks, and use of any tech for live polling or event apps.
* MC Briefing: Provide MC with talking points, timings and format, housekeeping notes etc.
* On site speaker support: Manage the onsite arrival and transition of speakers, ensuring they are prepared
Onsite event management
* Registration & Delegate Experience: Set up and manage registration desk, delegate check-ins, resolving any entry or ticketing queries to ensure a seamless arrival experience.
* Brand Identity & Signage: Oversee the installation of physical branding and signage to ensure a consistent and high-quality visual brand identity throughout the venue.
* Staging & AV Coordination: Manage the staging and audio-visual requirements by coordinating with technicians for rehearsals, transitions, lighting and sound checks.
* Onsite Problem Solving: Apply a ‘Decide and Do’ approach to troubleshoot issues or logistical changes during the event, while maintaining a focus on delegate experience at all times.
Post Event Analysis
* Reporting: Conduct analysis for reporting of event performance, including providing metrics on attendance, costs, NPS, brand impact ,and member feedback.
* Evaluations: Conduct post-event evaluations and debriefs to determine how future events can be improved.

Flexibility of duties and work schedule is a key requirement of the role. On occasions events take place outside Dublin or outside standard office hours.

Qualifications
* Marketing or communications degree or other relevant qualification.
* Additional qualifications an advantage
Knowledge/Experience
* Essential the person hasB2B event management experience
* A minimum of3-5years’ experience in a B2B role.
* A proven track record in developing, delivering and tracking of integrated marketing campaigns.
* Experience in content creation– including digital and social media.
* Experience with cvent and Click Dimensions or similar is an advantage, however training will be provided.
* An understanding of AI tools to drive innovation and productivity is an advantage, however training will be provided.
* Excellent project management and task prioritisation.
* Excellent understanding of the needs of corporate participants.
