The Sales and Events Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of sales, events, and marketing activities to drive revenue and promote the hotel's brand. This role reports to Hotel General Manager and works closely with the Group Sales Manager and involves a strong focus on Reactive Sales, Proactive Sales activity, Events Co-ordination, Networking, and Local and In-house Marketing efforts.
The Hotel:
Lough Rea Hotel and Spa is one of the most highly recommended and well known venues in Co. Galway. Situated just outside the quaint town of Loughrea overlooking Loughrea Lake. Guests can enjoy the Rooftop Garden Bar and Sky Lounge, which boasts panoramic views of Loughrea Lake and the Galway countryside.
The hotels facilities consists of 92 bedrooms, Shore Island Spa, ample free car parking on site, Lir Bar & Brasserie, Abbey Restaurant, along a large conference suite and 5 breakout rooms catering for conferences up to 500 people.

The Person:
We are seeking candidates with a proven track record with Sales, Events & Weddings. The ideal Sales & Events Manager would be a self-motivated, results-oriented individual with a passion for sales, excellent interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry and the local market. Knowledge of Opera would be an advantage.
Requirements:
Proven experience in sales and events management within the hotel industry.
Strong market knowledge and communication skills.
Results-driven and able to work independently and in a team.
Creative and innovative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Knowledge of local market trends and competitors.
Opera an advantage
Full driving license
