Overview
Basic Grade Occupational Therapist role at Enable Ireland, Bray, Co. Wicklow (CDNT5). Contract: Permanent. Hours: Full time. Salary: €43,276 - €57,653 pro rata per annum (subject to Long Service Increments). Annual Leave Entitlement: 32 days per annum.
Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for the provision of an occupational therapy service including assessment, diagnostics and intervention as required to all children accessing the service; and will work as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing services to children and families.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Criteria
* Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
* Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
* Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
* Annual registration: On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by CORU.
* Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.
* Candidates must be eligible to work in the State.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience working with children or adults with disabilities and their families.
* Experience of interdisciplinary team working.
* Relevant postgraduate training specific to child disability services.
* Experience in conducting assessment of needs.
* Minimum of 1 year postgraduate experience working with children with disabilities and their families.
