IT Support Engineer Role Overview
The position of IT Support Engineer is available in a growing organisation in the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. This role involves providing second-level technical support to users across the organisation, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, managing hardware/software deployments, supporting IT infrastructure projects, and liaising with third-party vendors.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Deliver second-level technical support to end-users.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot software, hardware, and networking issues.
* Participate in IT projects and assist in new system deployments.
* Liaise with third-party vendors for technical support and issue resolution.
* Maintain accurate records of issues and resolutions via case ticketing systems.
Candidate Attributes include:

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Technical Skills required include:
* Experience with virtualised infrastructure (VMware / Hyper-V).
* Solid understanding of networking: TCP/IP, VLAN, DHCP, WAN, LAN, WLAN.
* Familiarity with firewall configurations and management.
* Demonstrated experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).
Qualifications & Experience include:
* Relevant third-level IT qualification.
* 4–5 years' experience in a desktop support or helpdesk role.
* Proven ability to deliver on IT projects and meet deadlines.
