Head Chef Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced culinary leader to head our kitchen team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and talented Head Chef to lead by example, driving food preparation and service excellence in our busy venue.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant environment, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional menu planning, sourcing, staff recruitment and training, and monitoring key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing menus that showcase creativity and flair
* Building strong relationships with local suppliers to source the finest ingredients
* Recruiting, training, and developing new and existing staff members to ensure a cohesive and productive team
* Monitoring all KPIs and maintaining a keen eye on budget requirements
* Regularly reviewing and evaluating supplier performance
* Ensuring rigorous HACCP standards are met throughout the kitchen and ensuring all staff receive comprehensive training in this area
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef in a high-end hotel or restaurant setting
* Excellent financial acumen and a proven track record of achieving outstanding GP's and Food Costs
* Strong culinary and creative background, with a commitment to staying up-to-date on industry trends
* Ability to produce consistently high-quality dishes
