This role is ideal for an experienced engineer, with strong Syncade recipe development experience, seeking the chance to make animpact on a major digital transformation program with a leading globalbiopharmaceutical organisation.
Successful candidates will have the opportunityplay a key role in shaping the future of pharmaceutical manufacturing, as partof a key project focused on transitioning from paper-based batch records to a fully digital Syncade MES platform at a large-scale, GMP regulated, APImanufacturing facility in Cork.
Key Responsibilities Lead and participate in process mapping of existing manufacturingprocesses and translate them into digital workflows for MES implementation.
Design, develop, configure, and test MESrecipes within Emerson Syncade to support production in line with regulatorycompliance.
Author and review changecontrol documentation, test protocols, and validation deliverables (IQ/OQ/PQ)to ensure adherence to site procedures and industry standards.
Provide technical support during recipedeployment and troubleshoot issues to maintain system integrity andperformance.
Oversee and review technical outputs from the MES team, ensuring quality and compliance with project objectives.
Provide advice on best practices and generatestrategies for new MES projects, including recipe design and systemconfiguration approaches.
Coordinate technical activities acrossmultiple workstreams, acting as a subject matter expert for Emerson Syncade MES.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior andintermediate engineers, fostering knowledge transfer and team development.
Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure MES solutions are aligned with project goals.
Requirements Bachelors degreein engineering or related field with 5+ years' experiencewith Emerson Syncade MES, within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is essential.
Broad technical expertise in the delivery of MESprojects, including design, configuration, testing, and deployment of recipesand electronic batch records (EBR).
Experience authoring and reviewing change controldocumentation, test protocols, and validation deliverables (IQ/OQ/PQ).
Ability to troubleshoot MES issues and providetechnical support during implementation and operation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the abilityto work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross-functionalteams.
A strong understanding of GMP, GAMP5, and 21 CFR Part11.
Strong communication, interpersonal skills andstakeholder engagement experience.
Demonstrated leadership capability or project managementexperience is highly desirable.
This includes reviewing technical outputs andmentoring team members, managing project timelines and deliverables, as well asdefining best practices and developing strategies for new MES projects.
