PennEngineering is a leader in the manufacturing of specialty fasteners and are committed to providing quality, value added products and services.
The role of Process (QA) Engineer will be required to manage process and product quality, and drive problem solving and process improvement projects in the Cold Forming, Cold Heading and Screw Machine areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Drive continual improvement in the process focussed on:
* Reduction of non-conforming material and customer complaints
* Reduction of Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
* Other variation and waste reduction
* Lead problem solving activities with the process team when failures occur and implement robust Corrective And Preventive Actions (CAPA)
* Maintain and improve compliance to the Quality Standard IATF16949
* Maintain and report appropriate Quality performance metrics on a Daily/Weekly/Monthly basis.
* Communication of quality issues to relevant personnel.
* Lead Validation activities in assigned areas.
* Conduct internal QMS audits as required.
* Promote a culture that fosters employee involvement, team work, and the understanding that quality is everyone's responsibility.
* Any other duties as defined to meet business requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:

At minimum, a degree in Engineering or Quality discipline is required
· Process knowledge of CF / CH / SM processes is a significant advantage
· Must be able to use a computer. Full training on specific applications used will be provided
· Pro-active approach to identifying potential problems/weaknesses and identifying and implementing improvements is desirable
· Lean Sigma Green belt or higher would be an advantage
· Training in problem solving (CAPA) and Lean Sigma methods will be provided.
· Training in other required quality tools will be provided
