Head Chef – Lead a Busy Kitchen and Strengthen a High-Performing Team

About the Role
As Head Chef, you will oversee all daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service, quality dishes and an organised, efficient working environment. You will work closely with management and the kitchen brigade to uphold our reputation for excellent food and strong teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate and support a well-established kitchen team
* Oversee all food preparation, cooking and presentation to ensure high quality
* Manage daily service, ensuring consistency, speed and accuracy
* Maintain excellent kitchen organisation and cleanliness
* Monitor stock levels and place accurate orders to minimise waste
* Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene and allergen regulations
* Develop new dishes, menus and specials in line with seasonal produce
* Train, mentor and support junior chefs and kitchen staff
* Work effectively with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless service
* Manage kitchen budgets, GP targets and cost control
* Maintain equipment and report any issues promptly
About You
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy kitchen
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire others
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
* High standards for quality, consistency and presentation
* A calm and professional approach under pressure
* Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen management
* Creativity and passion for producing outstanding food
