This position requires a motivated and adaptable self-starter with proven experience of delivering work to tight deadlines and a team player who is also comfortable taking individual ownership of a number of activities.Responsibilities Assisting with contentious matters including litigation and client complaints and supporting on record-keeping and reporting on all such matters.
Researching and assisting with providing guidance and support on general legal issues that arise in the context of the Davy business including, but not limited to: - Liens/Letters of Pledge/Charges over client portfolios - Pension/ Property Adjustment Orders/Family Law issues - Powers of Attorney/Enduring Powers of Attorney – contacts/commercial arrangements/trusts.
Assisting senior members of the Davy Legal team with key strategic projects within Davy.
Assisting with data protection matters including but not limited to: - Data Subject Access Requests, Data Incidents, retention schedules.
Assisting with ad-hoc requests including, but not limited to: - CRO searches - document collation - Docusign activities - Land Registry searches – document redactions.
Supporting the Davy Legal Team on a day-to-day basis with administrative matters relating to the management of function including maintaining all legal files (hard and soft copy), tracking general legal queries, attending meetings as required and note taking. About you Law Degree or equivalent qualification.
Pre-existing experience of working within a legal team desirable.
Experience working on complaints/conflict resolution an advantage.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Inquisitive, self-starter who can show initiative as well as work as part of a team.
Analytical approach and attention to detail with good organisational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good working relationships across the business.
Ability to self-motivate and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of MiFID desirable.
