Are you a Project Officer with strong project coordination, stakeholder management, and data reporting skills? Our client, a progressive public-sector organisation, seeks a Project Officer to deliver a national programme of energy-efficiency, retrofit, and decarbonisation projects across government and healthcare facilities.
Project Officer Energy & Sustainability (Public Sector) Location: Dublin / Cork/Sligo/Dundalk (Hybrid 2 days in office) Salary:€52,026 per annum Contract: 18-month fixed term Key Responsibilities Project coordination & delivery: plan tasks, track milestones, manage risks/issues, maintain RAID logs, and drive on-time delivery.
Monitoring & reporting: collect and validate project data; produce KPI dashboards and performance reports on energy and carbon savings.
Compliance & documentation: ensure adherence to funding, procurement, and audit requirements; maintain accurate project records.
Stakeholder management: engage public-sector partners, vendors and consultants; schedule meetings, site visits and workshops; prepare briefs and minutes.
Procurement support: assist with tenders, technical scopes and evaluation processes.
Communications: draft guidance, web content and case studies; respond to programme enquiries.
Essential Requirements Degree (Level 7+) in Engineering, Science, Building Services or related technical field.
3+ years experience in a project officer/coordination role within energy, sustainability or public-sector programmes.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project/Planner, Smartsheet, Jira/Trello) and advanced Excel/reporting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills; confident presenting to stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines and stakeholder relationships.
