Accounts Assistant

Our client, a major employer in the Shannon region have now, due to an internal promotion, engaged with us in CPL to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join the organisation & take on this new permanent role. The Job:

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will be a key part of the team & be strongly focused on supporting weekly & monthly accounts processing duties across diverse business units within the overall corporate structure.

More specifically the candidate will cover duties including, but not limited to, the matching & processing of invoicing, investigating variances & potential issues in accounts reports, resolving queries, ensuring the accurate submission of accounts payments, updating supplier account information, liaising with audit teams & assisting the accountants with their monthly close processes & individual projects.

Your Skills/Experience that we need:

- 3rd level degree ideally in business studies, accounting or another relevant discipline.
- An additional qualification - eg Accounting Technician - would be an advantage.
- 2+ years experience ideally gained in an accounts, banking or financial administration focused role.
- Excellent inter-personal skills & ability to engage with people at all levels of seniority.
- Strong IT & reporting skills.
- Own car & full/clean driving license ideally.

The Offer:

This position is being offered as a permanent role with salary depending on experience but expected up to range to approx. 38k with a strong additional benefits package & career progression opportunities on top.

This role will be a hybrid position with 3 days office based & 2 days from home/remote however the initial training/onboarding period will be fully in office.

Candidates must be available to interview in person & candidates with restricted visas/work permits will not be considered.
