AuxiliaGroup Recruitment are hiring a Deputy Hotel Manager on behalf of our client, a transport and logistics organisation operating within a highly regulated, customer‑focused environment.
About the Role:
This role supports the day‑to‑day delivery of accommodation and hospitality services within an operational setting. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, the Deputy Hotel Manager will play a key role in maintaining service standards, supporting operational delivery and leading front‑line hospitality teams.
The position requires a hands‑on, visible leader who can balance guest experience, people management, and compliance within an operational environment that runs on a 24/7 basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Hotel Manager in the overall management of accommodation and guest service operations
Provide day‑to‑day leadership to hospitality, housekeeping, and guest service teams
Act as a visible operational presence during service periods, ensuring consistent service delivery
Assist with staff scheduling, training, onboarding, and ongoing development
Ensure all operations comply with health & safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements
Manage guest feedback and resolve service issues professionally and efficiently
Support stock control, cost management, and operational planning
Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination across departments
Deputise for the Hotel Manager, including duty management cover as required
Identify opportunities to improve processes, service standards, and operational efficiency
Requirements:
At least 3 years experience in a Deputy Hotel Manager, Hotel Manager or Senior Hospitality Management role
Background in large‑scale or operationally complex hospitality environments
Strong people management and leadership capability
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting
Comfortable working in a shift‑based / 24‑hour operational environment
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and customer service skills
Good working knowledge of compliance, health & safety, and service standards
