OverviewWe are currently seeking a Tax Manager to join the tax practice of a well-established international audit and taxation firm. The role will involve managing Irish tax compliance and advisory services for a broad mix of multinational and Irish indigenous clients, covering all major tax heads. This is a hands-on, client-facing role offering strong advisory exposure, meaningful responsibility, and excellent long-term career progression.The role is based in Limerick City, with very flexible remote working options. Candidates based across Clare, Galway, Mayo, Tipperary, Cork, or Kerry can work remotely, attending the office only a small number of days per month.The firm places a strong emphasis on work/life balance. Long hours and weekend work are genuinely rare, and the culture is built around sustainable workloads, flexibility, and trust in its people.ResponsibilitiesWhat will the role entail?Manage the tax compliance and advisory requirements of a diverse portfolio of MNC and Irish indigenous clientsPrepare and review Income Tax, Corporation Tax, and related filings across all tax headsIdentify and resolve tax issues while proactively advising on tax planning opportunitiesAdvise clients on the tax implications of commercial, operational, and strategic decisionsAct as a hands-on, client-facing adviser, building strong day-to-day client relationshipsWork closely with audit, accounting, and advisory colleagues to deliver integrated solutionsAssist in the development and refinement of tax compliance and advisory processesInterpret Irish tax legislation and Revenue guidance in a practical, commercial contextResearch legislative changes and assess client impactReview and prepare supporting documentation, including agreements and technical papersLiaise directly with Revenue on behalf of clientsTake an active role in mentoring, training, and developing junior team membersSupport business development activity and the ongoing growth of the tax practiceExperience4–5 years’ relevant Irish tax experience, including 1–2 years post-qualificationStrong generalist tax knowledge across multiple tax headsExposure to both tax compliance and advisory workCTA qualification is a distinct advantageSkillsStrong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to meet deadlinesHigh technical accuracy and attention to detailStrong Microsoft Excel and systems capabilityBehavioursProfessional and confident communicatorCommercial mindset with a strong client focusTeam-oriented, proactive, and capable of working on own initiativeThe OfferSalary range: €70,000 – €85,000, depending on experienceAnnual performance-related bonusPension contributionHighly flexible remote working modelGenuinely sustainable working hours with very rare weekend workExcellent long-term career development within an international firm
