This is a senior leadership role ideally suited for a tax professional who wants scope, autonomy, and flexibility including a hybrid/home-office working arrangement.What You’ll DoOwn the firm’s entire tax function: direct tax, indirect tax, cross-border tax, transfer pricing, and tax advisory.Develop and implement a strategic tax roadmap aligned with growth plans, acquisitions, and international expansion.Lead all tax compliance, filings, audits, and reporting, ensuring adherence to Irish, EU, and applicable international tax regimes.Serve as the internal tax authority: advise senior management, board, and investment teams on tax implications of transactions, investments, reorganizations, and restructurings.Collaborate closely with external tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.Build and lead a high-calibre tax team (and external relationships), providing mentorship, technical oversight, and development opportunities.Monitor tax law developments, assess business impact, and drive continual updating of tax policies and processes.Support due diligence, modeling, and structuring in M&A, PE investments, and corporate finance initiatives.What We’re Looking ForQualified tax professional (Chartered Tax Adviser / Chartered Accountant with tax specialization / equivalent) with senior leadership experience (minimum ~8-10 years in tax, at least ~3-5 years at leadership level).Proven track record across both corporate tax and indirect tax (e.g. VAT, EU trade, withholding) in Ireland and ideally in cross-border environments.Experience working with private equity-backed or high-growth enterprises, especially in structuring, M&A, and cross-border investment scenarios.Strong technical knowledge of Irish tax law, EU directives, OECD BEPS rules, transfer pricing, holding company regimes, group relief, and incentives.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — ability to present complex tax concepts in business terms, influence leadership, and lead board-level discussions.Leadership and people management experience, including building or scaling a tax team.Strong commercial orientation: ability to balance tax efficiency with business objectives, risk management, and compliance.Self-motivated and comfortable working in a dynamic environment with flexibility and partial remote working.Why This Role Is AttractiveBroad scope and influence: you own the tax agenda and will be trusted to shape the direction of the function.Growing, ambitious organization backed by private equity, meaningful opportunity to scale and impact strategic decisions.Flexibility and hybrid working arrangements.Exposure to deals, PE investments, cross-border operations, and ambitious growth plans.Senior executive role with visibility and influence across management, finance, and deal teams.Please apply if you wish to be considered for this opportunity.Job DetailsSeniority level: DirectorEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: FinanceWe’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
