Job Title: Senior Contract Specialist
The commercial contracts team plays a vital role in contracting partnerships, which sits within programme delivery.
Role Description:
* Proactively work with the team and managers to ensure processes and procedures are enhanced and/or developed to enable effective operation.
* Lead the implementation of contractor management systems to ensure robust governance.
* Champion continuous improvement in contract processes and risk management strategies.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive performance and compliance.
* Support the management of all aspects of risk associated with managing framework contractors.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring excellent stakeholder management, inclusive of government bodies.
* Providing expert advice and support through use of their knowledge and experience.
* Managing relationships with contractors and suppliers.
* Supporting the development of business cases for new initiatives.
* Developing and implementing policies and procedures.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience.
* Experience of contract management, including producing high-quality standards and procedural documentation.
* Knowledge of procurement procedures and guidelines.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Regulatory knowledge and experience.
* Knowledge of safety rules.
* Experience of environmental management.
* Knowledge of design and construction policies and standards.
* Experience and knowledge of IT systems associated with the role.
