Branch Manager – Occupop
Location: Galway, County Galway, Ireland
Job Purpose
The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall management of the branch and the achievement of all financial targets within the branch.
Responsibilities
Operational Management
Plan, organise, staff, direct and control all branch staff.
Maximise branch potential by ensuring all branch and financial targets are met.
Ensure staff adhere to correct procedures in tasks and stock management.
Maintain costs within targeted figures and review regularly to seek opportunities to reduce.
Ensure all stock is maintained and regularly audited.
Staff Management
Identify recruitment needs within budget and process with Human Resources Department support.
Conduct annual employee appraisals and provide regular feedback.
Coach and motivate staff to meet business demand and set targets.
Develop positive working relationships and resolve issues or escale to Regional Manager when needed.
Business Development
Promote services to existing and potential customers.
Develop relationships to retain and grow branch business.
Suggest new products or services that can generate additional revenue.
Report weekly sales performance to area manager.
Quality Management
Maintain branch housekeeping and staff uniform compliance.
Deliver excellent customer service (phone/face‑to‑face).
Ensure good work practices and adherence to technical guidelines, following the policy of getting it right the first time.
Health & Safety Management
Ensure full compliance with health and safety/environmental policies, procedures and legislation.
Be a role model for safety and report any breaches to the Branch Manager.

Motor industry knowledge (essential).
