Job Overview
A Test Technician is required to work with a leading medical device company based in North County Dublin. The role involves working on sub-assemblies, modules, and systems using engineering drawings and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Performing inspection operations on sub-assemblies, modules, and systems using engineering drawings, schematics, flow diagrams, specifications, and methodologies;
* Troubleshooting faults down to component level;
* Preparing samples, reagents, and diluents for chemical testing of systems and modules;
* Establishing causes of malfunction and non-conformance in the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and chemical operation of systems with minimal loss of test time;
* Assisting Engineering in the initial validation, installation, and verification of new test procedures, equipment, and products;
* Overseeing and checking any repair work that has to be carried out to ensure that the fault is corrected;
* Working with other departments to solve ongoing problems;
* Assisting Engineering in the design of test fixtures and modules inspection/test procedures;
* Completing and maintaining all necessary paperwork, test data, etc., for each system/module to ensure accurate Quality records are available;
* Working with Quality procedures relating to material flow, material handling, processing of defective material, acceptance, and rejection procedures, ECN monitoring, concessions, etc.;
* Awareness of risks involved in handling dangerous corrosive or infectious materials adhering to strict safety rules;
* Training in new personnel.
Requirements:
* 2 years experience in a similar manufacturing environment;
* Experience as a Test Technician in a mechanical or electrical environment a plus;
* Related third-level qualification QQI Level 6 and above;
* Excellent PC skills SAP Experience.
Benefits:
* DAY SHIFT role but some night shift work may be required during the contract (shift allowance will apply);
