Key Responsibilities:
1. Meal Preparation & Cooking: Prepare meals tailored to residents' specific dietary requirements, focusing on nutrition, taste, and presentation.
2. Kitchen Operations: Oversee the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring efficiency and consistency in food service.
3. Food Safety & Hygiene: Maintain strict hygiene standards in line with HACCP guidelines and healthcare regulations.
4. Collaborative Service: Work closely with dietitians and healthcare professionals to meet residents' medical and dietary needs.
5. Menu Development: Contribute to creating diverse, balanced menus, including support for special dietary requests.
What We're Looking For:
6. Garda Vetting: Mandatory for all applicants (coordinated by Excel Recruitment).
7. Manual Handling Certification: Required; training can be arranged if not currently held.
8. HACCP Certification: Essential; a solid understanding of food safety procedures is required (training available if needed).
9. Full Driving Licence: An advantage due to travel between site locations.
10. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally with both residents and healthcare teams.
11. Flexibility: Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
