Role Overview
The role is a key member of the Accounting & Controls Team, responsible for the production of accurate and financial management accounts for all of the EMEA legal entities. This role acts as a liaison between the EMEA Finance & Commercial teams and requires someone with strong communication, leadership and managerial skills. Candidates for this role need to be self‑motivated and highly organized.
Key Responsibilities

Assisting the Financial Controller on the ongoing operations of the finance function in EMEA and its support of the commercial operations.
Review and approval of inter‑company journals and payment requests.
Facilitate and review monthly balance sheet for internal control and reporting purposes.
Act as the primary liaison between the Genpact EMEA team and the Glanbia team, while overseeing, supporting, and managing Genpact in the successful delivery of their new responsibilities.
Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes, including responsibility for balance sheet integrity.
Coordinating and managing key stakeholders and contributors both internally and externally as part of the GPN International divisional Group and Statutory audits.
Ensure that the required accounting control procedures are in place and are effective, including the control and reconciliation of the Balance Sheet in line with Glanbia policy.
Project managing key business processes throughout the year including month‑end and year‑end cycles, and internal and external audits, from an accounting and controlling standpoint.
Assist with tax and regulatory compliance.
Ensuring commercial and statutory financial reports are completed on time and continuously developed to meet changing business demands.
Promote and maintain a rigorous control environment with appropriate level of documentation and controls compliance testing, identify areas for improvement and work with business partners to implement change.
Ensuring compliance with all accounting, tax, and legal requirements across the countries in the region.

Key challenges & success measures

Assist in managing and partnering finance teams in multiple locations.
Ensure processes, systems, and controls are operating effectively across a rapidly expanding business and are implemented into new acquisitions.
Assist in managing tax and legal compliance across multiple jurisdictions in conjunction with group tax and legal departments and external advisors.
Continually develop financial reporting to provide relevant and insightful information that drives decision making.
Manage projects requiring cross‑functional and group participation in project teams.

The skills you will bring to the team

Recognised Professional Accounting Qualification required (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) and retained membership of the relevant accounting body.
Minimum 3+ years PQE experience in a supervisory or assistant controller role in a multinational environment or fast‑moving and dynamic business.
Proven experience in a Financial Control team – preferably.
In‑depth knowledge of accounting and financial principles and technical accounting skills.
Results‑driven and able to engage with multiple stakeholders, especially in international markets within an FMCG environment.
Experience motivating and influencing in a rapidly changing workload, tight deadlines, and high client expectations.
A self‑starter who works well within a team and across geographical boundaries.
Strong attention to detail, analytical, good judgement making and logical decision‑making.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Proven track record of stakeholder management.
Proven ability to deal with ambiguity.
